Misha's Mission
...to bring reading cheer throughout the year
Misha is a therapy dog certified with Delta Society and involved in the READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program. She goes into schools in Humble ISD with the help of her handler Mary Sue Zoch. The READ program allows dogs to go into classrooms and offer a nonjudgemental listener for children to read to with the goal of improving literacy.
In addition to being a therapy dog, Misha has also passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and has recently become a member of Dog Scouts of America!
Misha, a three year old black lab, and Mary Zoch are currently working on a series of beginner level books based on positive character traits centered around Misha's life and adventures.
Mary Sue and Misha are available for school author visits.

Misha's first two books have been written. The first, You're a Good Citizen, Misha!, is now available. This book demonstrates the characteristics of a good citizen. It is the
first book in a series dealing with positive character traits. In each book, Misha
will show children what that particular trait looks like. The second book, Where in Texas is Misha?, will become available at a later date.
